Merlena has over 12 years public sector experience and has been practising as a Licensed Immigration Adviser since 2019. Her hat as a public servant remains as she continues to serve the many communities, sectors, industries and groups of New Zealand by simplifying the rules and policies governed by Immigration New Zealand to educate, inform and empower.
Merlena's family migrated to New Zealand as refugees. Her father and eldest sister are active community leaders and have always been for as long as she can remember. They have always been driven to help others, especially those new to the country.
Merlena is a proud New Zealand citizen however, she has not forgotten her Khmer heritage and grew up fundraising, promoting and performing to increase awareness of Cambodian culture. Through her career, Merlena found a way to use her skills to continue to assist and serve others and like that MYS Associates Limited was founded.
Merlena is currently a digital nomad who travels regularly around the world in particular Asia and Europe. She is always delighted to be able to meet clients in person to be able to assist and serve where she can.
Merlena also holds her Migration Agent License to be able to assist with Australian Visas.

Pitou is our trusted Business Development Manager based in Cambodia. He has studied in New Zealand and understands the difficulties of migrating and settling in New Zealand. He thoroughly enjoyed his time in New Zealand and visits regularly. He is available to meet face to face in Cambodia by appointment.

Fluent in both English and Khmer, Rak offers clear, reliable guidance to a diverse range of clients, ensuring personalised support with honesty and professionalism.

Kean's public sector background provides valuable administrative expertise to MYS Associates limited Migration Consulting and Services. Growing up in a family dedicated to community support, Kean is passionate about helping others, inspired by his family's efforts.
Kean joined MYS Associates to combine his administrative skills with his desire to support individuals and families through migration. Kean is committed to learning and growing in his cultural heritage and language. Having witnessed firsthand the importance of preserving one's roots, he is dedicated to honoring his own cultural traditions while supporting others in their journeys.

Shaun started his career at PwC where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He subsequently found a passion for start-ups and has spent the last 7 years of his career in the finance function of various high-growth start-ups.
Over half of that tenure has been in leadership roles and twice as a first finance hire tasked to build the finance function from the ground up. He has been involved with capital raising, M&A initiatives, ERP implementations, and setting up/leading finance functions globally (New Zealand, Australia, UK, France, North America and most of South East Asia and Greater China).
